It’s Wednesday, and we’re finally back on track. Armin did have to take a detour this morning, but he got here sometime around 10am, or so, and immediately got crackin. The whole day was continued work on the rebar. By the end of the day he had the 2 long rows needed for the back wall trench done. Not bad for one day by himself.
Some key things that happened today:
Where’s Pedro?
Unfortunately, I noticed he came alone, so I asked about Pedro. Evidently Pedro took on another project over the weekend, and won’t be available again for another week or so. Armin said he has a few guys that he circulates and he plans to either pull one of his other guys in or have Pedro return when he’s done. Whichever happens first.
Inspection Friday
Armin initially scheduled the 1st inspection to happen tomorrow (Thur), but when we lost all of Tue I told him, feel free to push it back to Friday, and so he did. He also, told me he plans to schedule the cement pour for Monday. That seems a little optimistic, considering the inspection may not pass, but he said he could also call and reschedule if need be.
Rebar Progress
As I mentioned, the 2 grids needed for the long back wall are done. They still need to be dropped in, but that should be easy. Tomorrow all that needs to be done is the short and shallow portion on the south side. With that done, there should be plenty of time to make adjustments and ensure we’re ready for inspection on Friday.
